Persian inspired Victoria Park Ballroom Wedding

Amin & Jessica’s Magnifique Wedding

Amin is known for throwing great parties, so when he and Jess started planning their wedding, they knew it was going to have to be one to remember forever.

They chose Victoria Park Golf Complex for both their ceremony and reception. Guests gathered in the Garden Marquee for a lovely ceremony conducted by Jen Arhanic from Married by Jen. From there guests move to the Orchard room while Jess, Amin and their Wedding party went out for a photo shoot with the team from AGAPE Studio.

As night fell, all 130 guests made their way to the Ball room at Victoria Park for the reception. After a high energy entrance of the bride and groom, they moved straight into their cake cutting, which involved a Persian knife dance which had guests on the edge of their seats.

Then Jess & Amin moved over to the Sofreh Aghd, which is a traditional Persian wedding spread that contains many items, each representing various things which revolve around giving the couple the best start to their marriage. For example:

Coins – to represent wealth and prosperity for the couple
Rock Candy – to symbolise a sweetened life for the newleyweds
Eggs – for fertility
A Mirror – for bringing light and brightness to their future
Candles – symbolizing energy and clarity
and many more.

This is a lovely wedding tradition to look into and the Sofreh Aghd was certainly one of the most photographed things at the entire wedding.

It wasn’t long before dinner was served, followed by some very entertaining wedding speeches, plus a heartfelt video slideshow that Jess and Amin created as a dedication to their parents.

Once the dancing started, the dance floor at Victoria Park was full all night. DJ Ben Shipway flowed between traditional Persian music and some great classic party tunes, plus some fun dance music.

There was also a surprise flash mob style dance but Jess and some of the other girls, which everyone loved.

Time flew by and before we knew it was time to farewell Jess and Amin. They left the same way the came into the room, to huge applause, screams and lots of energy.

After months of planning and working on ways to enhance their wedding celebration, Jess and Amin can be proud of the fun, unique and memorable event they created and it was a pleasure to be involved.
